Top 15 Consumer Cyclical Companies by Business Quality
Marvin's rules picked 15 Consumer Cyclical companies with the highest Business Quality scores relative to industry peers, starting with Booking Holdings, Amazon and Gentex. Scores describe today's comparison, not a forecast.
Consumer Cyclical companies sell things people tend to buy more of when they feel confident about money, such as travel, restaurant meals, clothing, cars and home goods. A strong business in this sector earns healthy profit from its sales, turns profit into cash, and does not lean too heavily on borrowing.
This list shows the 15 companies in the sector with the highest Business Quality scores, as of October 2026. Each entry shows a few simple figures, such as revenue growth, operating margin (profit left from sales after running costs) and debt-to-equity, so you can see what sits behind the score.
Keep in mind that scores compare each company with others in its own industry, so a restaurant and a retailer are not judged on the same yardstick. Some figures are missing for some companies, and a high score is a description of the business today, not a promise about the stock.
The list
How Marvin ranked these stocks
Marvin included companies above a minimum size threshold and ranked them by Business Quality score, highest first, within the Consumer Cyclical sector, with at most four stocks from any one industry. Every Marvin score runs from zero to one hundred and is relative to each company's own industry, so a high score means the company looks strong compared with its direct peers, not compared with every stock.
Companies above about $300 million in size, ranked by Marvin scores (0-100, relative to each company's own industry). The Consumer Cyclical sector, highest Business Quality score first; at most 4 per industry.

Common questions
What does Consumer Cyclical mean?
It describes companies whose sales tend to rise and fall with how willing people are to spend on non-essentials, such as travel, dining out, clothing, cars and home goods. Sales in this sector often swing more with the economy than sales of everyday necessities.
Does a high Business Quality score mean a stock is a good investment?
No. The score only describes how a company's business compares with other companies in its own industry today. It says nothing about the stock's price or what will happen next, so it is one input for your own research, not a recommendation.
Why are some figures missing for certain companies?
Marvin only shows a figure when the underlying data is available for that company. Where something such as debt-to-equity or operating margin is missing, it was left out rather than guessed, so treat that part of the picture as unknown.
