Top 15 Energy Stocks by Marvin's Opportunity Score
Marvin's rules picked these 15 Energy stocks. They rank highest on Opportunity among companies with solid Business Quality scores, with a cap on how many come from any one industry.
Energy covers companies that find, move, process and sell oil, gas, uranium and solar power, plus the firms that supply equipment and services to them. This list shows 15 Energy stocks that Marvin's rules rank highest on its Opportunity score. Each one also has to clear a minimum Business Quality score.
The scores are relative. Each company is compared only with others in its own industry, so a strong score for a drilling company says nothing about how it stacks up against a solar company. The list is a starting point for research. It is not a recommendation.
Energy businesses tend to swing with commodity prices and borrowing costs. Check each pick's weak spots too, such as high debt, thin margins or missing data. Some figures are not available for every company, and the notes below point that out.
The list
How Marvin ranked these stocks
Marvin included companies above a minimum size, then looked only at the Energy sector. It kept stocks with a Business Quality score above a set minimum and ranked them by Opportunity score, highest first. It allowed only a few stocks per industry. All Marvin scores run on a scale that tops out at a hundred and are measured against each company's own industry, not against the whole market. Where two stocks have the same Opportunity score, the order follows Marvin's rules.
Companies above about $300 million in size, ranked by Marvin scores (0-100, relative to each company's own industry). The Energy sector, highest Opportunity score first, among companies with a Business Quality score of at least 50; at most 4 per industry.

Common questions
What does the Opportunity score mean?
Opportunity is one of Marvin's scores. It describes how a company compares with others in its own industry today. It is not a forecast and not advice to buy or sell. A high score is a reason to research a company further.
Why do some stocks here have missing figures?
Not every company reports every measure in a form Marvin can use, and some measures fit certain business types poorly. When a figure is missing, the pick's description says so, and you should look at the company's own financial statements.
Why can Energy stocks be so volatile?
Many Energy companies earn money tied to oil, gas, uranium or power prices, which can move a lot. Others depend on spending by producers. Debt can make these swings harder to handle, so it helps to check debt-to-equity and margins alongside the scores.
