Privacy Policy

Marvin Stock Watch ("Marvin", "we", "the app") is a personal stock watchlist tool. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account info — your email address, and if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares with us.
• App data you create — your watchlists, the tickers in them, your custom sort order, personal notes, star ratings, and buy/sell price targets.
• A session cookie — a single httpOnly cookie that keeps you signed in. It contains no tracking data and isn't shared with any third party.

We don't use ads, ad trackers, or third-party analytics scripts. We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.

Who we share data with

• Google — only if you choose "Sign in with Google," to verify your identity.
• Resend — to deliver the one-time sign-in code to your email address, if you use email sign-in instead.
• Finnhub and Financial Modeling Prep — these provide the market data shown in the app (stock prices, fundamentals, etc.). We send them ticker symbols, never anything about you personally.

None of these providers receive your watchlists, notes, ratings, or price targets — that data stays in our own database.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and all associated data deleted, contact us at marvin@marvinstockwatch.com and we'll remove it.

Security

Your session is authenticated with a signed, httpOnly cookie sent only over HTTPS. Sign-in codes are hashed before being stored, never kept in plain text.

Children's privacy

Marvin Stock Watch isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
